Hornets draft Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with No. 11 pick

With the 11th pick in the NBA draft, the Charlotte Hornets drafted Kentucky point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Gilgeous-Alexander was quietly stellar for the otherwise struggling Wildcats, and enjoyed a breakout moment with a 27-point performance in the NCAA tournament while shooting 10-of-12 from the field. The lanky 18-year-old averaged 14.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.6 steals while shooting 48 percent from the field and 40 percent from deep.
