Wizards draft Issuf Sanon with No. 44 pick

With the 44th pick in the NBA draft, the Washington Wizards have drafted Ukrainian combo guard Issuf Sanon.

Sanon impressed scouts at the NBA Global Elite Camp after a promising campaign with Olimpija. He will likely be stashed overseas for at least another year to make good on his talent, and there will be no rush as the 18-year-old is one of the youngest players in the draft.
