Diggins-Smith calls out tweet omitting her from endorsement history
Three-time All-Star - and the WNBA's current leading scorer - Skylar Diggins-Smith is a force to be reckoned with. Despite her 5-foot-9 frame, it's a mistake to overlook the dynamic Dallas Wings point guard, as she proved again Monday night when Twitter left her out of basketball history.
Arizona's @DeandreAyton and Duke's Marvin Bagley III (@MB3FIVE) have agreed to endorsement deals with @PUMA, becoming the first basketball players to sign with the company since 1998. https://t.co/q11c6eU3a0

"Wrong! But welcome to the family!" she responded in a quote tweet.
Recent Puma signees Deandre Ayton and Marvin Bagley III, both projected as top selections in Thursday's NBA draft, aren't actually the first hoopers to represent the apparel provider since 1998. Diggins-Smith signed on with the German brand last August:
To date, Diggins-Smith has had to keep wearing Nikes in games; Puma doesn't currently make a modern basketball sneaker.
However, with the brand's expanded roster of signees - and Monday's revelation that rapper and business mogul Jay-Z will take an active role in the company's hoop visions - Diggins-Smith, Ayton, and Bagley should be wearing a new line of Puma shoes on the court soon.
