Reports: Hawks make Schroder, Bazemore available for trade
The Atlanta Hawks are reportedly aiming for a drastic roster overhaul.
The team has made disgruntled point guard Dennis Schroder available for trade, according to Sports Illustrated's Jeremy Woo. Veteran swingman Kent Bazemore is also on the market as the Hawks try to start fresh, added SI's Jake Fischer.
Armed with four picks in Thursday's draft, including No. 3 overall, Atlanta has the assets to sweeten a deal and rid itself of Schroder, who's been tough to move due to concerns about the 24-year-old's attitude and the $46 million remaining on his deal through the 2020-21 season, according to Woo.
The German native averaged 19.4 points and 6.2 assists in 67 games played this past season.
Bazemore signed his contract during the high-spending summer of 2016, and has $37.3 million remaining through the 2019-2020 campaign. The versatile wing averaged 12.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 65 games this past season.
