Mavericks trade with 76ers to draft Ray Spalding with No. 56 pick

The Dallas Mavericks have acquired the No. 56 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft from the Philadelphia 76ers and selected Louisville power forward Ray Spalding.

After predominately coming off the bench his first two years, Spalding was thrust into a starter's role his junior season for 34 of his 38 appearances, finishing second on the roster in both points (12.3) and rejections (1.7) and first in rebounds (8.7).
