Bad news for fans who wanted to see Luka Doncic get some summer run on this side of the Atlantic.
The Dallas Mavericks rookie guard-forward is unlikely to play in the Las Vegas Summer League after a long European season that just ended this week, sources told ESPN's Tim MacMahon.
Summer league tips off in Vegas on July 6. The Mavs' squad is scheduled to play that night against the Phoenix Suns. Doncic led his Real Madrid team to the Spanish ACB title on Tuesday before flying to New York for the NBA draft.
Doncic, a 19-year-old Slovenian, enters the NBA as one of the most hyped Euro prospects in years, with a knack for passing and an ability to shoot from anywhere.
