Grizzlies waive Omari Johnson

The Memphis Grizzlies have waived forward Omari Johnson, the team announced Sunday.
Johnson spent most of 2017-18 competing for Memphis' G League affiliate, the Hustle, averaging 16.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 27.9 minutes.
He signed a multi-year contract with the Grizzlies on April 6, making four appearances at the end of the campaign. Johnson contributed 13 points, four rebounds, and four assists on 5-of-8 shooting coming off the bench in the season finale against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
