The Toronto Raptors and Fred VanVleet have agreed to a new two-year, $18-million deal, sources told Yahoo Sports' Shams Charania.
There are no options in the agreement, according to The Athletic's Michael Scotto.
With little available money on the market, VanVleet quickly re-signed with Toronto after breaking out in 2017-18. The Raptors will receive his Bird rights when he becomes a free agent again in 2020 - the same summer starting guard Kyle Lowry's contract comes off the books.
VanVleet averaged 8.6 points and 3.2 assists in his sophomore campaign, finishing third for the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award.
