Report: Warriors players pushing front office to sign Jamal Crawford
Multiple star players on the Golden State Warriors are pushing the front office to pursue the services of free-agent guard Jamal Crawford, according to The Athletic's Marcus Thompson.
Draymond Green, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry are among the players who are either lobbying management or on board with the idea of adding Crawford, added Thompson.
Entering his 19th season, Crawford is a perennial Sixth Man of the Year candidate - winning the award three times - and recently took home Teammate of the Year honors for the 2017-18 campaign. Despite being a 38-year-old defensive liability, he could provide the Warriors with a shot-making presence in short spurts off the bench.
Crawford declined his $4.5-million player option with the Minnesota Timberwolves in mid-June to become an unrestricted free agent.
