Report: Pacers guarantee $10.5M contract for Bojan Bogdanovic
The Indiana Pacers will guarantee Bojan Bogdanovic's $10.5-million contract for next season, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.
Bogdanovic's salary was only guaranteed for $1.5 million, but the Pacers ultimately decided to retain the 29-year-old small forward rather than take their chances with a new free agent.
Indiana has been linked to Aaron Gordon, Tyreke Evans, and Will Barton in recent weeks, but the combination of guaranteeing Bogdanovic's deal and Thaddeus Young picking up his $13-million player option will cut sharply into its potential cap space.
Bogdanovic is coming off a career year in which he averaged 14.3 points on 40.2 percent shooting from deep and was impressive throughout the playoffs. He joined the Pacers last summer on a two-year deal.
