Derrick Rose will only make the veteran's minimum to remain with the Minnesota Timberwolves, but he'll earn a huge payday off the court.

After landing another contract, and thus remaining in the NBA, Rose triggered $14.5 million in endorsement money from Adidas, according to Nick DePaula of Nice Kicks.

Rose signed a 14-year deal with Adidas following his MVP campaign, which will pay him in excess of $10 million through 2025 provided he meets certain benchmarks.

While his stock has fallen dramatically in recent years, Rose remains a fan favorite in China and his signature sneakers are a popular item. As DePaula notes, over 70 percent of his shoe sales come from the Asian market.

The 29-year-old averaged 5.8 points and 1.2 assists in nine games with the Timberwolves following a miserable start to the year, during which Rose briefly considered retirement while playing with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
