Report: Knicks, Hezonja agree to 1-year, $6.5M deal
The New York Knicks have agreed to terms on a one-year, $6.5-million deal with small forward Mario Hezonja, a league source told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Numbers aside, Hezonja confirmed his intention to officially join the Knicks once the signing moratorium ends on July 6:
Start spreading the news...I want to be a part of it, New York,New York! Very excited to be joining the Knicks and play for coach Fizdale! A dream come true!! #betterhairdaysareahead pic.twitter.com/V7JfOUc9ob

Hezonja has enjoyed middling success since he was selected fifth overall in 2015. In three seasons with the Orlando Magic, the Croatian wing has averaged 6.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. The Magic made the atypical decision to decline their team option for Hezonja's fourth season, allowing him to hit unrestricted free agency this summer.
