Report: Jazz, Exum agree to 3-year, $33M extension
The first four years of Dante Exum's NBA career have been riddled with injuries but that's not keeping the Utah Jazz from investing more of their time and money into him.
The Jazz have agreed to a three-year, $33-million extension with the restricted free agent, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The 22-year-old Aussie guard made just 14 appearances in 2017-18 for the 48-win Jazz following preseason surgery on his left shoulder. Exum didn't make his debut until March 15.
He averaged 8.1 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists during that stretch, shooting 48.3 percent from the field and 27.8 percent from deep. Those numbers dipped to 5.1 points in 11.4 minutes off the bench during Utah's playoff run which extended to the second round.
Exum sat out the entire 2015-16 season as a result of a torn ACL in his left knee.
