Bill Walton called Luke from Grateful Dead show to celebrate LeBron signing
Bill Walton was at a Grateful Dead concert when he found out LeBron James joined the Los Angeles Lakers, but he didn't let that stop him from celebrating with his son.
In an interview with ESPN's Ramona Shelburne, Lakers head coach Luke Walton revealed his father called him from the show after news of the signing broke.
"Yeah, and he had (Grateful Dead drummer) Mickey Hart in the background yelling at me that, 'The rhythm is the answer to everything in life,'" Luke said. "So once I figure out what that means, we'll be good."
Bill is a huge Deadhead, as he's mentioned numerous times during ESPN college basketball broadcasts. He once even gifted his co-host Dave Pasch a bottle of air from Grateful Dead concerts.
