Report: Cavaliers bring back Frye on 1-year, $2.4M deal

The Cleveland Cavaliers appear to have finally made their first offseason move since LeBron James packed his bags two weeks ago.

The Cavaliers have signed 35-year-old big man Channing Frye to a one-year, $2.4-million contract, league sources told Yahoo Sports' Shams Charania.

Frye is a familiar face, having averaged 7.5 points and 3.4 rebounds per game while shooting 39 percent on 3-pointers over parts of the past three seasons with the Cavaliers. He was moved to the Los Angeles Lakers, along with Isaiah Thomas and the first-round pick that became Moritz Wagner, at this February's trade deadline in exchange for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr.
