Durant beefs with McCollum on Twitter following heated podcast appearance
Warning: Tweets contain coarse language
Kevin Durant and C.J. McCollum likely won't be exchanging Christmas cards this year.
The reigning back-to-back Finals Most Valuable Player recently appeared on McCollum's "Pull Up" podcast, with the two engaging in a conversation about Durant's Golden State Warriors signing DeMarcus Cousins in free agency.
This led to Durant trash-talking McCollum's Portland Trail Blazers - while both players laughed - by suggesting they're not in the running to win an NBA title.
McCollum was later asked on Twitter Wednesday night whether it was OK to call Durant "the B word" again - a response to Durant seemingly disrespecting McCollum on his own show.
While the 26-year-old shooting guard wouldn't go as far as to describe Durant with such foul language, he did fire shots at the All-Star forward by calling his decision to sign with the Warriors "soft."
As one would expect, Durant responded to McCollum shortly after.
He then engaged with several other users but deleted the tweets minutes later.
Rather than continue the war of words, McCollum shut down the notion that there's a feud between him and Durant while refuting the claim that he's a "snake in the grass."
