Report: Bucks waive Jennings

The Milwaukee Bucks have waived guard Brandon Jennings, league sources told Yahoo Sports' Shams Charania.

The 28-year-old made 14 regular-season appearances for Milwaukee late last season, averaging 5.2 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.2 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per game.

After first signing Jennings to a pair of 10-day contracts, the Bucks locked him up for the remainder of 2017-18. The deal included a non-guaranteed $2.2-million salary for the coming season, which would have become guaranteed if the team did not waive the guard by Wednesday.

Jennings was originally drafted No. 10 overall by the Bucks in 2009. He garnered All-Rookie first-team honors that season, and proceeded to average 17 points and 5.7 assists per game from 2009-13. But after two more promising years with the Detroit Pistons, Jennings' production and playing time began to fall off, and he had difficulty catching on during stops with the Orlando Magic, New York Knicks, Washington Wizards, and overseas in China.
