LeBron producing competition series 'Million Dollar Mile'
LeBron James has another television series in the works.
CBS announced Tuesday that the Los Angeles Lakers star will executive produce a 10-episode "high-stakes competition series" called "Million Dollar Mile." The show will test everyday athletes' physical and mental toughness while giving them a chance to win $1 million.
"This show takes competition series to a whole new level. It's intense, it's entertaining, and it has a twist that will have people on the edge of their seats while also creating an opportunity to change the contestants' lives," SpringHill Entertainment CEO Maverick Carter said in a statement. "It's exactly the type of aspirational content SpringHill Entertainment is about, and we can't wait for people to experience it."
The news comes soon after Showtime announced a James-produced documentary series titled "Shut Up and Dribble," which will look at the changing role of athletes in the current political environment.
An air date for "Million Dollar Mile" has yet to be announced.
