The NBA will apparently let players express themselves even more on the court next season.
Players will be able to choose shoes of any color during all games in 2018-19, sources told ESPN's Nick DePaula.
This would mark the first time in league history that players' choices of kicks won't have to correspond with their team uniform. It comes with the push of Nike's eight-year, $1-billion deal as the NBA's official outfitter as nearly 67 percent of players wear Nike or Jordan Brand footwear, DePaula added.
Moving forward, footwear restrictions will reportedly only extend to third-party logos, which will require league approval beforehand.
