The Los Angeles Clippers will match the offer sheet the New Orleans Pelicans presented to forward Tyrone Wallace, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Wallace signed a reported two-year, $3.1-million offer sheet with the Pelicans on Tuesday. As a restricted free agent, the Clippers had 48 hours to match the terms of Wallace's proposed deal with New Orleans.
The 24-year-old had a successful rookie campaign relative to his unheralded status as a two-way player. Wallace saw 28.4 minutes of floor time per game over 30 appearances due to a litany of injuries impacting the Clippers' rotation. He averaged 9.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game overall.
