Report: Hood looking for 3-year, $27M deal from Cavaliers
Rodney Hood is reportedly looking for a three-year deal worth approximately $9 million per year from the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to Cleveland.com's Joe Vardon.
The 6-foot-8 guard is reportedly considering accepting the Cavaliers one-year qualifying offer worth $3.4 million.
Per Vardon, the Cavaliers have an offer on the table for Hood for three years, but is worth just $7 million annually.
The 25-year-old is a restricted free agent and his value has taken a hit after a difficult short tenure with the Cavaliers last season.
Hood was acquired by Cleveland prior to February's trade deadline as part of a three-team trade with the Utah Jazz and Sacramento Kings that involved the Cavaliers receiving Hood and George Hill in exchange for Derrick Rose, Jae Crowder, and Iman Shumpert.
He averaged 10.8 points in 21 games in Cleveland.
