Report: Andrew Bynum attempting NBA comeback
Andrew Bynum is attempting an NBA comeback.
The former Los Angeles Lakers All-Star center has hired representation in hopes of securing workouts with teams ahead of training camp, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Bynum, 30, won two rings as a member of the Lakers, but struggled once he was dealt from the team. He sat out a year with an injury as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers in 2012-13 and last played 26 games between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers in 2013-14.
The big man will surely be hoping to follow a similar path that fellow center Emeka Okafor took on his path back to the league last year, which culminated in 26 games, including 19 starts for the New Orleans Pelicans.
For his career, Bynum averaged 11.5 points and 7.7 rebounds per game on 55.6 percent shooting from the field.
