Deyonta Davis' short tenure with the Sacramento Kings has come to an abrupt end.
The Kings announced Saturday that they've waived the 21-year-old center.
Davis was acquired by the Sacramento in July from the Memphis Grizzlies along with Ben McLemore, a 2021 second-round pick, and cash considerations in exchange for guard Garrett Temple.
He was selected 31st overall in the 2016 draft and averaged 5.8 points, four rebounds, and 0.6 blocks on 60.8 percent shooting last season for the Grizzlies.
