Harrison Barnes has a hamstring injury, and he'll likely miss the Dallas Mavericks' preseason games.
Head coach Rick Carlisle said his team's presumptive starting power forward will be out "for a while" after suffering the injury in practice, according to The Athletic's Tim Cato.
An exact recovery timeline isn't known.
Barnes has largely avoided serious injuries throughout his six-season career, missing just 29 out of a possible 492 regular-season games.
The 26-year-old has led the Mavericks in scoring in each of his two seasons with the team, averaging 19 points per game.
