New Orleans Pelicans center Jahlil Okafor looks to have dodged a serious injury.
The fourth-year big will miss one-to-two weeks of action after an MRI revealed a sprain in his right ankle, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
The outlook could have conceivably been much worse, as Okafor exited the arena after Sunday's preseason game in Chicago on crutches.
Through 131 career games split between the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets, Okafor has averaged 12.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, and one assist while averaging 23.5 minutes per game.
