The imprisoned ex-wife of slain former NBA player Lorenzen Wright has been found mentally competent to stand trial for his murder, according to court documents cited by The Associated Press.

Sherra Wright and co-defendant Billy Ray Turner were indicted on first-degree murder charges in December. A Shelby County, Tenn., court had ordered a mental evaluation of Wright.

Lorenzen Wright was found shot to death in a field outside Memphis on July 28, 2010, a little more than a year after his final NBA game. Wright played 13 seasons in the league, including five with the Grizzlies.
