Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal admits he put on 20 pounds of sympathy weight while his girlfriend, Kamiah Adams, was pregnant with their son Bradley "Deuce" Beal II.
The culprit behind Beal's weight gain?
"Oh, pizza. It was always late-night pizza for me," he told Candace Buckner of the Washington Post. "It was just pizza and ice cream. That's all we ate - pizza and ice cream, pizza and ice cream."
Beal said the weight went straight to his legs, but it didn't seem to affect his performance on the court. He started all 82 regular-season games for the Wizards, averaging 22.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.5 assists.
The 25-year-old has since shed the extra pounds and is back to his normal playing weight.
