BBB dropped price of Lonzo's 2nd shoe to make it 'accessible to kids'
Lonzo Ball and Big Baller Brand received a lot of flak last year for his $495 ZO2s. For Ball's second signature shoe, the company decided on a cheaper price tag of $200.
The designer of the ZO2.19s, David Raysse, told ESPN's Darren Rovell and Nick DePaula that Big Baller Brand dropped the price so that more kids could afford to buy them.

"Zo is the face of the future of the NBA and the youth, and we wanted to make sure that his second shoe was accessible to kids so that they can really be a part of this," Raysse said. "The price point is in line with all the competition out there."
As Rovell and DePaula note, the ZO2.19s are still one of the most expensive mainstream shoes on the market. The Nike LeBron 16s retail for $185 a pair, while the Air Jordan XXXIII costs $175.
Raysse also addressed the $495 price point on the ZO2s, which he said was intended to draw attention to Big Baller Brand.
"The $495 price point achieved its goal of being crazy disruptive, achieved its goal of making people look up and seeing the audacity and the swagger that Big Baller Brand has," he said. "The fact that we could even do that says a lot about the fact that it's a movement more than anything else."
The ZO2.19s are currently available for preorder only, and Big Baller Brand said they won't begin shipping until early 2019.
