Timberwolves' Wiggins suffers thigh contusion vs. Pacers
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Andrew Wiggins suffered a thigh contusion in the first quarter of Monday's 101-91 win over the Indiana Pacers, the team announced.
Wiggins went to the locker room with four minutes remaining in the first quarter and didn't return.
"It's a contusion, so with those types of injuries, you know more the next day. He's day-to-day, we're hopeful he’ll be fine, but we won’t know probably until tomorrow," Timberwolves head coach Tom Thibodeau said after the game.
Wiggins has played in all but one game throughout his four-year career and is hoping to be available for Wednesday's tilt against the Toronto Raptors.
"I only miss a game if I've absolutely got to. I'm going to Toronto and I'm looking forward to it," Wiggins said postgame, according to The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski.
Minnesota moved to 2-2 on the season with the victory.
