Durant 'not really impressed' with billboards recruiting him

Try harder, New York Knicks supporters.

Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant was made aware of the billboard near Madison Square Garden featuring his likeness in a Knicks jersey holding the Larry O'Brien trophy next to Kristaps Porzingis. Durant could leave the Bay Area this summer as an unrestricted free agent, but if he does, it's not because a giant billboard swayed him to do so.

"I don't really know how to feel about that type of stuff," Durant said Thursday evening, according to The Athletic's Anthony Slater. "It's cool. No disrespect, but I'm not really impressed with that type of stuff."

The Warriors are in town to battle the Knicks on Friday night. With New York expected to make a push to sign the reigning two-time Finals Most Valuable Player, Durant isn't surprised he has to deal with questions concerning him possibly heading to the Big Apple.

"That's the time the NBA is in," Durant added. "You look forward to free agency as fans. Your guys job is to kind of look toward the future a little bit. So I understand."
