Kings guard De'Aaron Fox is bringing breast health awareness to the court this season, donating $100 per assist at all home games to help fund free mammograms for women in Sacramento.
Fox, whose mother Lorraine Harris-Fox is an 18-year breast cancer survivor, recently launched a Breast Cancer Community Assist Program and will donate up to $20,000 to Sacramento's Albie Aware Breast Cancer Foundation, the Kings announced.
"I didn't know much about it at a younger age, but as I was growing up -fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh grade - we would always do walks and stuff like that," Fox told The Undefeated's Rhiannon Walker in May. "That's kind of how I got into it, just knowing that she had it ... and that my mom fought through that, and seeing all the lives that are lost from breast cancer, made me feel stronger about that."
Fox is currently averaging 7.8 assists per game.
