Report: Wall fined for telling Scott Brooks 'f--- you'
John Wall was fined by the Washington Wizards for telling head coach Scott Brooks "f--- you" after players were instructed to raise their intensity level at a recent practice, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Wall got into an altercation with forward Jeff Green during the practice before hurling the expletive toward Brooks, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Wall reportedly apologized to Brooks minutes later and to teammates the following day.
At the same practice, Bradley Beal reportedly got into a verbal battle with Austin Rivers. Beal also turned to Wizards officials and said "I've been dealing with this s--- for seven years. It starts top-down," according to Charania.
The Wizards (5-11) are reportedly willing to listen to trade offers for Wall and Beal despite previously resisting.
The All-Star duo are entering their seventh season as teammates and have yet to crack the 50-win plateau or advance past Round 2 of the playoffs.
Rivers and Green are in their first season with the franchise and were expected to guide the Wizards' weak bench.
Brooks joined the Wizards in 2016 after coaching the Oklahoma City Thunder for seven seasons.
