Report: Suns interested in Fultz
The Phoenix Suns are among the teams with "some level of interest" in embattled Philadelphia 76ers point guard Markelle Fultz, reports the Inquirer's Keith Pompey, citing a source.
The No. 1 pick from the 2017 draft remains sidelined with his ongoing shoulder issue and was scheduled to meet with a specialist this week. Teams interested in Fultz want him to be truthful about his status, a source told Pompey - they don't want him to say he's experiencing shoulder and wrist problems if it's a mental block that's affecting his shooting. The Cleveland Cavaliers reportedly looked into acquiring Fultz before trading Kyle Korver to the Utah Jazz this week.
Fultz has shot a woeful 53 percent from the foul line since entering the NBA, frequently adjusting his mechanics.
The Suns, for their part, have been linked to several point guards since the season began, including Terry Rozier of the Boston Celtics. Phoenix has a gaping hole at the position and waived journeyman Isaiah Canaan - who had started 15 games this season - this week.
