The Houston Rockets are seeking a trade as soon as this week after waiving swingman Danuel House Jr. to open up a roster spot, sources told the Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen.
House played heavy minutes for the Rockets during a recent stretch when Chris Paul and Gerald Green were injured. Rockets head coach Mike D'Antoni praised House's play, saying he "belongs in the NBA somewhere."
Houston has had depth issues all season, although on Wednesday guard Brandon Knight went through his first full-team practice since March 2017 when he tore his ACL.
The Rockets are well into the luxury tax and have a payroll of $132 million.
