Rockets, Clark agree to reported 3-year contract; House gets 2-way deal

The Houston Rockets have agreed to a contract with rookie power forward Gary Clark, the team announced Thursday. It's a three-year, $3.7-million deal, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Houston also signed Danuel House Jr. to a two-way contract.

The Rockets waived House this week, reportedly because the team hoped to acquire a player via trade. With no deal as of yet, the team has apparently locked up undrafted free agent Clark, who was previously on a two-way contract.

Clark has emerged as a rotation piece for Houston this season, averaging 3.4 points and 2.9 rebounds in 17 minutes a game. House had also seen heavy minutes recently due to injuries, with coach Mike D'Antoni previously saying the swingman "belongs in the NBA somewhere."
