Houston Rockets guard Brandon Knight made his season debut against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
The oft-injured Knight last appeared in an NBA game on Feb. 15, 2017.
The Rockets (12-14) have struggled to stay healthy thus far and are desperate for a third playmaker to give James Harden and Chris Paul a break.
Houston acquired Knight in August, along with forward Marquese Chriss, from the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Ryan Anderson and De'Anthony Melton.
Knight was assigned to the Rockets' G League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, on Nov. 30 to rehab ahead of his return to the NBA. He appeared in one contest, finishing with 16 points and five assists in 22 minutes.
