Buddy Hield's NBA player page and Wikipedia list the Sacramento Kings guard as being 25 years old with his birthday falling on Dec. 17, 1993.

Well, that would be incorrect, as Hield was actually born in 1992 and is 26 years old.

"That's their fault, not my fault," said Hield following Sacramento's 132-113 home loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday, according to NBC Sports' James Ham. "The first time I saw it on Wikipedia, my mom said, 'Why do they have your age wrong?' I said, 'I have no idea.'"

Hield can't put his finger on why his age is listed as such, noting all of his identification upon arriving in the United States after growing up in Freeport, Bahamas was accurate.

"I came over with a passport," Hield added. "My passport has 1992 on it. My driver's license has 1992 on it. I just think people got their information from Wikipedia or wherever, and they just went with it. They just got it wrong."

He mentioned the Kings' front office knows how old he really is, with general manager Vlade Divac confirming as such to Ham.

Hield is currently in the midst of a breakout 2018-19 campaign with the 16-15 Kings, averaging a career-high 19.9 points, five rebounds, and 2.5 assists on 47.9 percent shooting.
