LeBron James took shots during practice Tuesday, according to ESPN's Baxter Holmes.
"He's working on his body, his game, himself all the time," coach Luke Walton said. "But that's the first time I've seen him shoot (since his groin injury)."
LeBron was not a full participant in practice, reports Holmes, and remains day to day. He suffered the groin strain during the Los Angeles Lakers' Christmas Day win over the Golden State Warriors, with multiple reports suggesting James could be looking at an extended absence.
James has missed three games since the injury, with the Lakers next playing Wednesday at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He has missed more than eight regular-season games just once in his 16-year NBA career.
