NBA will livestream ISO cam on Twitter for TNT games
The NBA and Turner Sports announced Wednesday a new livestream on Twitter that will focus an isolated camera on a single player in the second half of 20 select "NBA on TNT" games this season.
During the first half of those games, fans will vote on Twitter for which player they wish to see on the ISO cam. The secondary screen will debut during TNT's presentation of the All-Star Game on Feb. 17, and continue through select regular-season contests and playoff games.
Exclusive commentators will provide analysis for the second-screen offering.
"The NBA Twitter community is among the most vibrant in sports and entertainment," commissioner Adam Silver said in a league email. "While watching NBA games on TNT, our fans on Twitter can now enjoy a unique second-screen experience that will further enhance the way fans engage with each other and the game."
The NBA has built the largest Twitter community of any professional sports league in the world since joining the social media platform in 2009, accumulating 27.5 million followers.
