LeBron James made a powerful statement on the court last season with his black and white "Equality" sneakers. Now, Nike is working on a new version of the shoe.

Images apparently showing the LeBron 16 "Equality" have started to leak online ahead of its release:

The LeBron 15 "Equality" sneakers, which James wore in a December 2017 game against the Washington Wizards, are currently on display at the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture.

The new version is scheduled to drop Jan. 21 for Martin Luther King Day, according to Sole Collector's Riley Jones.
