Report: 76ers eyeing Knicks' Vonleh

The Philadelphia 76ers appear to be looking to acquire frontcourt depth ahead of this season's Feb. 7 trade deadline.

Philadelphia is interested in acquiring New York Knicks power forward Noah Vonleh, a source told the New York Daily News' Stefan Bondy.

Vonleh is enjoying a minor breakout after splitting his first three largely uninspiring seasons between the Charlotte Hornets, Portland Trail Blazers, and Chicago Bulls. In 43 appearances - 36 of them starts - with the Knicks, the 6-foot-9 big Indiana product has averaged 8.6 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 41.1 percent on 3-point attempts.

The 23-year-old's $1.6-million contract is set to expire after this season, at which point he'll become an unrestricted free agent.

Philadelphia sacrificed some of its frontcourt depth earlier this season, shipping power forward Dario Saric and small forward Robert Covington to the Minnesota Timberwolves as part of a deal for four-time All-Star Jimmy Butler.
