Harden's 42.5-point over/under vs. Raptors highest in history
Houston Rockets guard James Harden is seemingly breaking scoring records every time he steps on the court.
Now the seven-time All-Star is setting new highs for bettors.
Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has set Harden's over/under point total for Friday's game against the Toronto Raptors at 42.5, according to ESPN's Ben Fawkes.
That number breaks the previous high of 41.5 set for Harden ahead of Houston's Jan. 21 game against the Philadelphia 76ers. He finished that contest under with 37 points through three quarters in a 121-93 loss.
The 2018 MVP has scored 30-plus points in 21 consecutive games, joining Wilt Chamberlain as the only other player in NBA history to accomplish the feat, according to ESPN Stats and Info.
Harden's surpassed the 42.5-point marker 12 times through 44 appearances this season, most notably hitting a career-high 61 points Jan. 23 against the New York Knicks.
Raptors superstar Kawhi Leonard is rated as the best Harden-stopper in the Association over the past five seasons, holding him to 27-percent shooting in halfcourt sets during that span.
