Dallas Mavericks guard Dennis Smith Jr. has committed to the Slam Dunk contest, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Smith competed in last year's event, finishing third behind Donovan Mitchell and Larry Nance Jr.
The high-flier just returned to action after a two-week layoff amid reports of discord between himself and coach Rick Carlisle. The Mavs are widely reported to be shopping Smith with the emergence of Luka Doncic.
Smith is averaging 12.7 points this season with 19 in-game dunks, per Basketball-Reference.
