Puma unveils new sneakers honoring the Palace
Puma is paying tribute to its basketball heritage and the Detroit Pistons' former home, the Palace of Auburn Hills, with a pair of '90s-inspired sneakers.
The brand unveiled a revamped version of the Palace Guard OG - first introduced by Hall of Fame point guard Isiah Thomas - and the Uproar Palace Guard. Both shoes feature a red, white, and blue colorway.
"The original Palace Guard was worn by NBA legends in the late '80s, and we look forward to ... both the original and the new version being a part of basketball and streetwear culture in the coming years," Adam Petrick, Puma's director of brand and marketing, said in a statement.
The Palace Guard OG and Uproar Palace Guard will be available in stores beginning Friday for $90 and $130, respectively.
