Report: Kyrie's disengaged from Celtics

Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving has become disengaged and detached from his teammates, sources told The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor.

Jayson Tatum is reportedly the lone teammate Irving remains close with as rumors of Irving's summer departure continue to escalate.

Irving has been frustrated throughout the season, repeatedly venting about his team's play and the media. The All-Star's attitude reportedly started to change when rumors of his interest in joining the New York Knicks arose in February.

Irving was asked about his preseason verbal commitment to re-signing with the Celtics last month and replied, "I don't owe anybody shit."

He's shown his irritation recently, too, telling a camera crew, "I'm not gonna miss any of this shit when I'm done playing."

Boston acquired Irving from the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2017 in exchange for Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic, and the Brooklyn Nets' 2018 first-round pick (Collin Sexton was selected).

The Celtics will likely pursue a max contract with Irving despite his displeasure. They'll also reportedly try to land New Orleans Pelicans center Anthony Davis.

Irving is averaging 23.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 6.9 assists in 53 appearances this season.
