Conley passes Marc Gasol for No. 1 on Grizzlies' all-time scoring list
With 2:50 remaining in the second quarter against the visiting Golden State Warriors, Mike Conley hoisted a 23-foot 3-pointer from the right corner. In connecting on that shot, the Memphis Grizzlies' all-time leader in games played passed his longtime former running mate, Marc Gasol, for sole possession of the franchise's all-time scoring record.
Conley came into Wednesday's contest averaging 14.9 points on 44.1 percent shooting across 786 regular-season outings, trailing Gasol by just six points for a share of the Grizzlies' all-time record of 11,684 points. A pair of mid-range stepbacks and a perfect 2-of-2 from the free-throw line closed the gap before Conley's 3-pointer broke the deadlock.

The 31-year-old point guard is now one of six franchise scoring leaders currently playing for the team with which they hold the distinction. That includes Dallas Mavericks power forward Dirk Nowitzki, Miami Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade, Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook, Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker, and New Orleans Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis.
Conley is also the third member of an exclusive group of players to top their franchise's all-time leaderboards in games played, points, assists, steals, and 3-pointers made, according to NBA Stats. The other two members are LeBron James, who accomplished the feat over two stints with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Indiana Pacers lifer Reggie Miller.
