With their season all but over, the Phoenix Suns will presumably use the final 10 games of the year to contemplate the future of the roster.

According to Arizona Sports 98.7's John Gambadoro, the Suns' plans could include five-year NBA veteran Jimmer Fredette. The BYU standout and former No. 10 overall pick is reportedly meeting with the team Thursday with the possibility of signing on for the remainder of the season.

Fredette last appeared in the NBA in a two-game stint with the New York Knicks at the end of the 2015-16 season. Since then, the sharpshooting guard has plied his trade in the Chinese Basketball Association for the Shanghai Sharks, averaging 36 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.3 assists in his most recent campaign.

Stateside, the 30-year-old's production has been decidedly more modest. In 235 career NBA appearances, Fredette averaged six points, 1.4 assists, and one rebound in 13.4 minutes per game.
