Wolves' Covington, Rose, Teague expected to be out for season

With the Minnesota Timberwolves all but eliminated from playoff contention, the team looks like it's shutting down three key injured players for the rest of the campaign.

The Wolves announced Thursday that Robert Covington, Derrick Rose, and Jeff Teague are expected to miss the rest of the season with their respective injuries.

Covington hasn't played since New Year's Eve due to a right knee bone bruise, while Rose and Teague have sat out the past four games with elbow soreness and a foot injury, respectively.

Minnesota has 11 contests left in the season and sits nine-and-a-half games out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
