Clippers' Mbah a Moute shut down for season
The Los Angeles Clippers have ruled out Luc Mbah a Moute for the remainder of the 2018-19 season after the veteran forward underwent a partial medial meniscectomy on his left knee with a medial femoral condyle chondroplasty, the team announced Thursday.
Mbah a Moute is expected to return to basketball-related activity in eight weeks.
The 32-year-old appeared in just four games this season, averaging five points and 1.8 rebounds in just over 15 minutes per contest before succumbing to injury on Oct. 23.
Known in recent years for his 3-point shooting and wing defense, Mbah a Moute would've potentially boosted the Clippers' chances of advancing past the first round of the playoffs. Los Angeles, currently 45-30, clinched its seventh postseason berth in eight seasons on Tuesday.
