Nuggets' Murray dons Charles Barkley shirt in response to criticism
Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray appears to have taken Charles Barkley's advice from Tuesday to heart. Sort of.
Following Denver's 114-105 Game 2 victory over the San Antonio Spurs, Barkley roasted Murray for wearing an NBA Jam shirt with his own face on it during his post-game press conference.
"You cannot wear your picture on a shirt. That's a foul. ... You don't wear your own stuff," said Barkley, adding that Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James would never do such a thing.
In response to Sir Charles' criticism, Murray arrived for Game 3 at Pepsi Center on Thursday in a white tee featuring a large image of Barkley's face.
Clearly flattered by Murray's choice of apparel, Barkley guaranteed the Nuggets would defeat San Antonio that night and take a 2-1 lead in their best-of-seven series.
